QuidditchUK Individual Membership Policy

Types of Membership

New
New Members are players who have never been registered with QuidditchUK previously.
New Members may be student or community members.
New Members are permitted to play for any team.
Players who previously competed at Development Cup without registering for QuidditchUK membership are eligible for this tier.

Student
Student Members are players who have previously registered for a QuidditchUK membership, and are still in formal education.
This is irrespective whether or not the player has competed in any QuidditchUK event.
Student Members are permitted to play for any QuidditchUK team.
Student Members must provide the name of their current place of education when requested in order to qualify for this membership.
QuidditchUK reserves the right to request proof of current enrolment with the provided University/College.

Community
Community Members are players who have previously registered for a QuidditchUK membership, and are no longer in formal education.
This is irrespective whether or not the player has competed in any QuidditchUK event.
Community Members are permitted to play for any QuidditchUK team, including University teams.

Membership

Membership Benefits
Registration under a single QuidditchUK club.
Ability to transfer between QuidditchUK clubs (subject to Club Transfer Policy).
Access to coaching, refereeing, and snitching resources provided by QuidditchUK.
Eligibility to register for and compete at QuidditchUK official events and QuidditchUK accredited events.
Eligibility to be scouted and selected for Team UK Expansion Squad.
Eligibility to be scouted and selected for Team UK Training Squad, and compete with Team UK at international tournaments.
Coverage and regulation of transfers within European clubs overseen by Quidditch Europe.
Access to discounts and perks from QuidditchUK through affiliated partners.

Members Must
Register with QuidditchUK as a member to compete in any official or affiliated QuidditchUK event.
Register with an active QuidditchUK club (registration with a club does not guarantee selection for any tournament your club’s team(s) may compete at).
Be at least 18 Years Old (members aged 16 or 17 are permitted with written consent from their legal guardian. A person turning 16 midway through the season, may become a member and compete in tournaments immediately following their 16th birthday. Members under aged 16-17 must also have written clearance by their QuidditchUK club).
Not have any bans or suspensions placed on them by QuidditchUK, or any other governing body recognised by The European Quidditch Federation or The International Quidditch Association.
Adhere to all QuidditchUK Policies.
Adhere to all Tournament Policies.
Respect their fellow teammates, opponents, match officials, and all other QuidditchUK staff both on and off pitch, publicly and privately.

Members Must Not
Publicly or privately demonstrate hate towards any individual, group, race, gender, sexuality, religion or ethnicity.
Refuse either publicly or privately to observe any individual’s preferred gender identity after multiple corrections.
Refuse either publicly or privately to compete with or against an individual on the grounds of their race, gender, sexuality, religion or ethnicity.
Exhibit any other kind of behaviour or action which is deemed racist, sexist, gender-based, homophobic, transphobic, motivated by religious hatred, or anything deemed to be equivalent.
